Police: Man Pushed Woman Onto No. 6 Tracks At Bleecker Street Station

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A man pushed a woman on to the tracks in the middle of the morning rush this week at the Bleecker Street subway station in NoHo.

The suspect in the attack remained at large Tuesday night.

Around 9 a.m. Monday, the 28-year-old woman was on the platform for the southbound No. 6 train at the station, at Bleecker and Lafayette streets, when a man acting erratically walked up to her, police said.

The man said to the woman, “What are you looking at?” and ran to a garbage drum where he took out an empty plastic bottle, police said.

The suspect is seen on surveillance video throwing the bottle at the victim. Afterward, he pushed her onto the tracks, police said.

The woman was rushed to Bellevue Hospital Center, where she was treated and released, police said.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD…
