Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge James C. Chalfant sided with singer Jennifer Lopez Tuesday after granting a restraining order that will prevent ex-husband Ojani Noa from distributing a ”sex tape”( No Sex, just J.lo in the Nude) filmed during their 1997 honeymoon. The restraining order is in effect pending the outcome of a hearing scheduled on Dec. 1.
“The J.Lo and Ojani Noa Story” is the pet project of Noa himself, who made the movie from hours of footage from their 1997 honeymoon and is currently trying to release it.
The film reportedly includes steamy bedroom scenes of Noa spanking his newlywed wife, as well as a heated argument between Lopez and her mother. Other highlights include Lopez donning skimpy lingerie while checking herself out in the mirror and explicit shots of the singer hopping on the back of a motorcycle with a short skirt and no underwear.
The judge agreed with Lopez, who filed a $10 million lawsuit against Noa on Friday alleging that her ex broke the confidentiality agreement he signed in 1998 and 2005, and that he violated her right to privacy. The Bronx native is also suing Ed Meyer, the producer of the film and Noa’s manager.
It is reported that Noa is now claiming the film is anything but a sex tape, and that his ultimate goal is to make a humorous documentary of his life as a Cuban immigrant and that he never planned to sell the tape.
According to the New York Post, despite ruling against the distribution of the film, Judge Chalfant has declined to bar the footage from being aired by entertainment and news outlets if they somehow get their hands on it.
The lawsuit is just the latest in a series of court battles between the pair that began in 2004 when Noa successfully filed a breach of contract suit. He was awarded $125,000 after it was ruled that Lopez fired him without reason from a managerial job at her Los Angeles restaurant.
J.Lo bit back in 2007 when she won $545,000 after filing a suit to bar Noa from releasing a tell-all book reportedly containing intimate details of the couple’s life. Most notably, the book accuses Lopez of frequently cheating on her ex with different men including singer Marc Anthony, her current husband.
Lopez and Noa got married in 1997. The marriage lasted only 11 months.
