Animation professionals from 28 countries are in Stavanger in Norway for the 20th Cartoon Forum.
Set up to help talented artists turn their ideas into award winning productions, the forum gives them the opportunity to meet all the key players in the animation industry.
The laid back atmosphere gives participants time to negotiate, seal business deals and join forces on new projects.
With one eye on TV and film awards they even hold their own votes to encourage the brightest and the best.
For the first time this year the European Film Awards created a special category for Animated Features.
Marc Vandeweyer, Director General, Cartoon Forum: “More than 400 European projects have found financing, representing a total global investment of 1.5 billion euros..”
On average a project pitched at Cartoon Forum has a one in three chance of making it to production.
