DJ AM’s Remains Moved to Local Funeral Home

According to reports, the body of DJ AM, also known as Adam Goldstein, has been transferred to a local funeral home in New York.

The 36-year-old celebrity disc jockey, who was found dead in his SoHo apartment after an apparent drug overdose on Friday, will be buried in California.

Police discovered Goldstein’s body after friends called authorities when they hadn’t heard from him in days. A pipe and an empty bag of cocaine were found on a bed next to Goldstein’s body, after NYPD officers broke down the door to his apartment.

Saturday’s test to determine the cause of the star’s death were inconclusive and toxicology tests are expected to take several weeks.

Goldstein along with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, survived a small plane crash, where four people died, in South Carolina back in September.

It was known that DJ AM battled a drug addiction, even though he claimed to be drug-free for years. The deejay was big on the Hollywood scene, performing at the most exclusive parties, getting paid as much as $25,000 per performance. Goldstein was also known for dating celebrities Nicole Richie and Mandy Moore.
