There is one question most of Italy is asking today, who is the man who won Europe’s biggest ever lottery jackpot of more than 147 million euros. We know he is from the small town of Bagnone in the central region of Tuscany. We also know he spent just two euros on his ticket which he bought from this bar.
The owner of the bar knows who he is but he is not telling. He is only revealed that this is the station from where the winning ticket was bought. It is the first time anyone has picked the six number combination of the state-run SuperEnalotto lottery since January. The rising jackpot had sparked a betting frenzy across Italy and even lured tourists from neighbouring countries to play.
